Derma rolling…

So this device and technique has been around a while now and I’ve finally bit the bullet and jumped on the bandwagon!

I was gifted this tool from Swiss clinic and opted for the 0.2mm needle to ease myself in as I’ve heard the bigger the needle the more painful it can be and I’m a bit of a wimp!

I use mine twice a day as instructed in the box and I go over the areas 4 times in multiple directions and I have to say, I’ve seen a difference! I suffer from adult acne and since using this my breakouts have reduced and my scarring is fading which is awesome and does wonders for my confidence!

The idea of this is to create small pin pricks in the skin to allow the blood to flow and encourage collagen to be produced, hello anti ageing, and also to help you absorb skincare deeper and for it to be more effective and I’m all for that! And I feel I’m seeing the benefits! Yes I was sent this via brandbassador but these opinions are all my own and I’m so happy I’ve tried this and will keep using it and keep seeing the results.

I have a 20% off discount code for anyone who wants to try this: SWISSCLINIC94X

Makeup revolution fastbase….

This brand is getting big! Very big and bringing out some awesome products and even launching a new PRO range which I am super excited for! And last month they bought out thier first foundation in the form of the fast base foundation stick.

I ordered 3 shades the minute it came out and had to guess my shade online which sadly didn’t work out great for me as they don’t have a shade that fits my undertones. I bought a concealer, contour and foundation shade. The contour shade is the only wearable shade for me sadly and I have to say the others were too light for me and not right.

I was so impressed by how creamy the formula was and it didn’t instantly dry so good for blending out, however….as an oily kinda gal this formula didn’t sit well with my skin, no pun intended! It kind of slid off my skin after a couple of hours, so it required a lot of powder and baking to make it set and even then it didn’t gel well with my skin type sadly.

I had such high hopes for this as the price point is amazing at only £5 and I feel if you have dry skin this will be amazing for you as it’s so creamy and hydrating as it have a dewy/satin finish to it. I still have serious love for this brand an am super excited to try out the new PRO range!

If anyone else has tried this please let me know how you got on….

Blood type diet

Firstly, without sounding silly, it is a lifestyle change more than a diet. I first came across this when I saw another blogger mention it and it sounded like something I wanted to read more about, and you can too here….. http://www.dadamo.com/

I entered my blood type and what I read made total sense, the traits it listed were so true and relatable so I carried on reading and it suggests what you should eat, what to avoid, what your body works well with and what it doesn’t work well with. I have also made a YouTube video about it which you can view here….https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iu7mZEEq7Uw&feature=youtu.be

I tried this change for 2 weeks and I felt better, less bloated, less sluggish and I even lost a few pounds! As we all know weight loss and fitness isn’t one size fits all and doesn’t always work the same for everybody hence why I was interested in this as it is aimed at your blood type and more seemed more specific.

I then went back to my ‘normal’ eating ways, and back was the sluggish feeling, daily bloating and horrible skin I knew from before, I was shocked and impressed by this and highly recommend people clicking the link at the top and reading it. I felt more motivated too and more energy in the gym aswell which is always a bonus!

Has anyone else tried this or read about this diet before?

2018…..lets go!

Yes it’s another 2018 post….now we have addressed that let’s get down to it! I’m not normally a new year new me kinda gal…so I’m setting goals and aims instead!

January is a month of ‘new things’ for me! I’m getting new hair, starting a new gym and oh yeah….A NEW JOB!!!! I’ve had my hair cut shorter so it healthier for when I go lighter/blonder. I’m finally getting back into the gym after a few health issues (I will vlog about this so keep checking the channel) and finally, I leave my job and branch into the world of travel!

First goal….A new job can be nervous enough, let alone stepping into an industry I know very little about. I have been to 3 countries in my whole life but decided to go for it and try something different. I went for a job I had no experience in but thought it sounded like an amazing career! I had 3 interview stages and literally screamed on the train when I had the phone call to congratulate me! And then the nerves set in! Was I good enough, why chose me? And finally can I do this?! And YES, yes I can and my goal is to excel at this and embrace the change.

Second goal….Gym. Getting back and getting healthy again. I’m not over weight and I know that, if anything it’s more for my mental health and the social side of things, so this week I’m going back and hoping to smash it and keep going and to try the classes and help to improve my health and maybe even take up yoga again!

Third goal….Social media. Yes I said it and call me shallow but hear me out…. I mean my blog and YouTube side of things. I want to keep blogging and expand my YouTube and keep making content and videos and growing! Search for me on YouTube: rio corbett and come and join my family and journey!

4th goal….Qualifications. This year I will complete a mental health awareness course. This qualification will be so beneficial not only for myself but so I can help others. Whether it be professionally or by helping family and friends. I know it will help me to help people and that’s a pretty cool qualification and ability to have if you ask me!

5th and final goal….Holiday. I’m really hoping this year will be the year me and olli have a holiday! We haven’t been away together for 5 years due to work and other issues so I’m hoping this year will be our year and we get away.

Let me know any goals/aims you guys have…and how you are going to smash them! Let’s do this….

That’s so…..tan

Now I am a big fake fan lover and I’m an all year around tanner so I was really excited when I was asked if I would like to try out this product! It’s a spray on ‘dark’ tan.

It comes in a lovely golden bronzed can and as it’s a spray it’s great for tanning everywhere and no dodgy back stripes. And due to the ingredients it’s a non patchy formula, and I have to agree there! I had a great dark tan and really enjoyed using this product! It even contains aloe Vera so also left my skin feel smooth and hydrated as well as that, they squeezed some anti ageing in too! What a winner!

If anyone is looking for a great spray tan then I suggest clicking below and checking these guys out as the colour is lovely and even….what more could you want…..

Feeling sleepy??

This lotion is everywhere….all over the internet….and I had to try it out! I am a lush lover anyway but this lotion I am ashamed to admit, I had never used before but after the online claims I went straight out and bought a pot!

The claims are that it’s helping thousands of people sleep….sleep better and deeper and who wouldn’t want that! Now I’m the type of person who wakes up at midnight, 1am, 3am and then wake up feeling like I’ve barely slept so I was dying to give it a go!

The smell….the smell is like lavender and gingerbread! I know it’s oatmeal and now I know that I can smell oatmeal and raisin cookies! So even if it doesn’t work….I will happily be soft and smell like a cookie all day.

Ok here we go….so day (night) one….I woke up twice but got back to sleep so much quicker and I felt like I was in more of a deep sleep

Night 2….I again applied it generously to my arms and my neck and chest area woke up twice but felt really well slept in the morning

Night 3…..again I had the same experience of waking but feeling well rested

Night 4….I slept all night! I didn’t wake up once and I woke up feeling so well slept!

With my illness I usually have to to sleep in the day but this lotion (so far) has seemed to stop this as I’m sleeping so deeply at night. It was £7.95 and it’s been better than any shop bought sleeping tablets I’ve ever had.

If you struggle to sleep I really suggest trying this! Plus it smells amazing so give it a go!

Herbalife

Herbalife….a brand a lot of people have an opinion on and like most ‘health conscious’ people I was keen to try these. I wanted to try them and see how it compared taste wise to my usual protein shake.

I was asked which flavour i wanted to try and was instantly drawn to the cookies and cream as it sounded like something sweet and which I would love. It comes in a large white container and you get a lot of product! It’s doesn’t come with a scoop but all you need is a tablespoon measure and you have the correct amount needed! Just mix with 250ml of milk and you are good to go! It tastes the same as my usual protein shakes and as a meal replacement it did leave me full and I felt like I could go until lunchtime without ‘flagging’ or needing a pick me up.

If like me you love a treat then get ready for a healthy version of a naughty classic….I like to turn this into a little semi healthy treat by dipping my cookies into it. You could add some cream and waldon farm syrup for a really indulgence style (and not too bad) for you treat, that’s what I will be doing soon! A semi healthy freak shake….yes please!!

Belenos skincare

So recently I was sent some natural organic skincare products from the lovely people at belenos skincare botanique.

I was sent a sea buckthorn brightening cream, a repair elixir, a makeup removing cleansing oil and a bath milk that smelt like Parma violet sweets….honestly it was incredible!

I loved that these were natural and organic as I do suffer with bad skin so I don’t like the idea of putting too many harsh chemicals on my skin incase of further out breaks.

I used the repair oil on my neck and around my eyes and they felt so smooth the following morning, not sticky or greasy just lovely and smooth which is something I find with oils they can leave a greasy layer, but thankfully this oil didn’t which was a refreshing change!

The buckthorn cream is so lovely and indulgent feeling! I love using it on my skin and on my elbows and knees before I fake tan to ensure no ‘dirty patches’ it works a treat and I love using it as the smell is so citrus-y and fresh! The cleansing oil is really good at removing makeup whilst leaving your skin nice and smooth feeling!

I highly recommend you checking out these lovely people if you are looking for a natural and organic skin care range!
