Cornwall…..where i eat, play and work. A few of my favorite places are very local to me, but have been recognised widely in the world of food and drink. If its coffee you want then head straight to Espressini in Falmouth, an artisan coffee shop who opened in 2011. They source unique beans from all over the world which is what makes is, in my eyes, pretty awesome! They also amazing have amazing food and croissants the size of your face!
Gylly beach cafe……a great locally run cafe with an ever greater view and atmosphere. If it’s a light coffee by the beach or an evening meal by the sunset then this is the place for you. With homemade cakes served everyday to locally caught dinner in the evening you won’t be disappointed by the food or the friendly staff. They have just reintroduced ‘roast on the coast’ too which is a big hit! A roast, a pint and an evening of live music for £11, who’s going to race down with me?!
Swanpool beach cafe……home of the quirky ice cream! Never heard of a hedgehodge or a french kiss? I suggest you change that, as they will change your life! A lovely outdoor seating area is a great place to enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate, or if you are feeling healthy, or feeling a bit guilty after an ice cream, try one of her lovely homemade juices! Enjoy a view of the beach and sea, complete with surfers, kayaker and paddle boarders!
Hubbox truro……these people know how to do a burger! Orinally starting off as a restaurant in St Ives, they caused quite the interest and attention by operating out of a shipping container on lemon quay! Which is where I was first captivated by the big kahuna! They now have a permanent residence in Kenwyn street in an old cathedral style building with indoor and outdoor seating. And it’s not just burgers, American street food is here thing so expect hot dogs, pulled pork and nachos galore! And to wash it down they have a great selection of shakes, soft drinks and some very usual craft beers! Oh and Cocktails, don’t forget those!
